2500 SQFT EXTENSION & COMPLETE REFURB

Laurel House was one of the worst houses on the best street! It had last been updated in the late 1970s with pampas bathrooms, yellow kitchen and was generally dated and in need of love and attention.

The house was previously 4 cottages that had been converted into one house (probably about 100 years' ago). The layout was linear and not conducive to modern family living. We set about re-designing the house with this modern family in mind, creating voluminous spaces with a large kitchen/dining/living area. The new space was taken to just one 5000 sqft.

Windows were completely replaced (previously metal crittall windows that had rusted and were no longer efficient), walls insulated on the inside, underfloor heating fitted throughout and new a kitchen and 5 new bathrooms.

This project took about 18 months to complete due to the complexity of the extension and the volume of refurbishment.

We won an award with our local Building Control and LABC for Best Extension in Stratford-Upon-Avon District.
